- The Tribe role-play is made for exactly that. Role-play. Events portrayed on the site are not real events in history. Everything here is made up and put together for entertainment purposes only. We mean no disrespect to history or the tribes names that we use.
- Everyone must be shown respect. This can go for the site owner, administrators, or even a guest. All must be treated equally and fairly, as we are a team here on The Tribe.
- Bullying on the site is prohibited. This can also go with the rule of respect. There is a difference between bullying OOC and IC though. If someone is bullying you outside of the role-play message a staff member right away. We will not allow this on our website and the correct actions will be taken. As for IC, it is a role-play and some characters are like that. But there is a line that can go too far. If you do seem to go too far with this, action will be taken.
- Powerplaying and godmodding are also prohibited. If you don't know what they are here is a brief description. Powerplaying is when you control the actions of another character without giving the other characters player a chance to reply. For example: Sidney shoved Jenny to the ground, splitting her head of the curb and causing it to well up with blood. That is powerplaying. The correct way to say it would be: Sidney shoved at Jenny, trying to knock her down so that her head would come in severe contact with the curb. Godmodding are our Gary Sues of the bunch. They are perfect and have absolutely no flaws. This is not allowed, everyone has flaws and no one can escape every attack. Both are prohibited.
- Character logs must be kept and able to get to by putting the link in your signature.
- You must have a real person as your profile picture. We do not allow paintings or black and white photos. If you are struggling to find one, please message a staff member and maybe we can help.
Posting:
- Liquid time is allowed here, but to an extent. Please if you must, keep track of all your threads. Do not join more than you can handle.
- If you wish to role-play with a certain member only, please mark the thread with their name in the title. If not, please put 'open' in the title. If the thread is reserved for another member, no one else may join it without the thread starters permission.
- We have a word count of 350 words here.
- Stick with a posting order. If the next person in the order has not posted for 3 days, you may make minor movements and continue, but you can not full on play that character, basically just skip them and move on.
- Please do not use chat speak such as 'lol, omg, ect' in the role-play or OOC boards.
Characters:
- Only humans are allowed in this role-play. You may have pets such as dogs, horses, and your spirit animal, but that is all.
- Hunters and warriors (aside from the chief) are the only characters allowed to have horses. They are required for battles and hunts. They must be found or are already available in the tribe. You must PM a staff member if you wish to own one right away.
- Native Americans are allowed to live up to 75. But, because of the circumstances (dangerous hunts, illness, attacks from white settlers) not everyone can live to be that age, and the majority won't.
- Children cannot maintain ranks until they are 15 years of age.
- The majority of women will remain in the camp and hardly ever leave. Very few will become hunters or warriors. Women are not allowed to be chief or warchief.
- All characters age in the spring, so be sure to keep your logs updated.
Children:
- You must have at least 3 IC threads with the character you would wish to have children with.
- Be aware, that bringing a baby into the tribe is dangerous and they risk many health issues.
- Children can be born any time of the year. The women will be pregnant for 3 whole seasons and if they pregnancy goes well, the baby(ies) will be born within the first week of the fourth season.
- In order to reproduce you MUST fill out the entire thread in the New Life topic.
- Staff members will decide the gender, appearance, and health of the baby. The parents will get to name it.
